Where are the wild things this week? Some might be heading back to school, while others may be hiding in this week’s MCP Photo Editing Challenge’s featured photo, captured by Ali Ellen.
Several members of the group have shared great edits. Here are a few of the many favorite storybook edits:

MCP touch of light/dark, MCP high definition sharpening,
MCP newborn necessities, hand edits are saturation and hue to medium,
blur 50% background, and cloned out some of the major scuffs in her boots,
then cropped her offcenter and did MCP Facebook Fix.

Opened photo in Photoshop CS5, Cloned additional foliage to the left side of the photo.
Cropped image.
Lengthened the jeans with liquify, added a lens flare and erased it so it appeared to be behind her and kept her focused.
Used MCP Newborn Necessities, Crisp Color, Baby Lotion, Eyes Wide Open sharpen at 25%. B&W vignette at 20%.
Web sharpen.

Layered cutout onto background image.
Adjusted for brightness and contrast.
Burned shadow underneath model for depth.
Used MCP Peach Fuzz at 100%

Participating encourages you to practice editing, learn how to give constructive criticism, and watch what steps or Photoshop actions and Lightroom presets are used in various edits. The photo challenge is a great way to reach outside the box and work hard. You have the support of a large group of photographers who can assist you and give you feedback as you work on specific themes and skills. We loved seeing so many great photos.
