If ever you find Photoshop or Elements is acting quirky, doing really weird things, freezing, or seems really really slow, it may be time to delete your preferences.
It is very simple to do. You hold down ALT, SHIFT, and CTRL (PC) or OPTION, COMMAND, SHIFT (Mac) at the same time right when you click on Photoshop to open. You will get a message asking if it is ok to delete the preferences. Accept it and the program will do the rest.
The preferences will rebuild as the program opens.

I’m not horribly computer literate but I do know that my PSE is going REALLY slowly these days. I’m confused about what to do… Do I do this at the icon on my desktop or after PSE is open? LOL!! I’m slow, can you hold my hand here? Hee hee… thanks!!
The preferences will rebuild… wow, great tip! My pc has been a little sluggish, I’m going to try this.
Thanks
