Here is a photo I edited for a photographer. She had some issues but the family really wanted to be able to order an 11×14 print.

There were two ways I tried to fix this. One was manually in Photoshop using curves and working on each color channel – and tweaking with hue/saturation adjustment layers.

This worked well but many people do not know how to do this.  If you want to learn, I do plan on doing a group color workshop series soon so keep watching.  But for those of you who want an easy way to achieve this, here is a quick play using OnOne’s PhotoTune software. And the coloring you see is the result of that. I also used my color burst actions from my complete workflow set to add some contrast. And I used my FREE exclusive blog action, “touch of light | touch of darkness.” If you are interested in the OnOne software, they have joined have partnered with me to give you discounts. If you visit their site at and place an order, you can use the code “MCPACTN” for 10% off any purchase.

Anyway, here is the before and after using PhotoTune 2: Skin Tune and Color Tune, plus some MCP Actions:

Erin – do you mean how much for the class? Or how much I charge to edit something like this?

The transformation is amazing Jodi! How easy is it to use OnOne’s PhotoTune software? (This question is coming from someone who has been using Photoshop CS3 for six months, but still has much more to learn about it.)

    Thanks! Angie in OH

WOW! The transformation is wonderful. So you work on each color in the hue/sat layers?
    Really, really nice job, Jodi!
