MCP’s Color Fixing Workshop
This is the number one question I hear from photographers, “How do I color correct this image?” It seems to be the thing both ametuer and professional photographers stuggle with more than anything else. Getting it right in camera by doing custom white balance constantly is a great solution for some, but often impractical for others. So what do you do once you open your image in photograph and realize your white balance is off or that there is a heavy color cast over parts or all of it? That is exactly what this 2 hour online group workshop will teach you – how to see color and fix color.
Classes will take place the week starting the week of January 26th. I will offer this class as long as there is a demand. I recommend photographers be familiar with curves (and if not to take a curves workshop from me prior to this class).
WHERE: This will be a group format online workshop. You will be able to see my screen and interact via phone or VoiP (contact me to see if you can use voice over IP – you must have a headset to use this option).
WHAT: I will teach you how to color correct your images once they are in Photoshop. If desired, I can quickly explain White Balance in Raw but my main objective is teaching you Photoshop color correction - from beginner to advanced corrections – how I do it. We will cover how to correct skin tones, fix color casts on whites (of eyes, clothes, etc), how to “see” when your color is off, working with blown color channels, fix isolated color casts and take away accidental neon color popped images. And the best part, we will be using the participants images. So you will see how to fix your images and those of your peers.
WHO: Anyone can benefit? Before taking this workshop, you will want to own Photoshop 7 (not elements 7), CS, CS2, CS3 and CS4 and be familiar with the layout and basic functions of the tools in Photoshop. I will teach the class using CS3 and/or CS4.
WHEN: You have two options for when. You can sign up for one of the times listed at the bottom. I need a minimum of 5 people per workshop, maximum of 12. If you sign up for one and it does not fill up, you can switch to a different one. OR if you have 5 or more friends who want a private workshop, we can coordinate a time and I can conduct one for your self created group.
INVESTMENT: The “color fixing” workshop is $95 per participant for a 2 hour live online group training. This class is intense and depending on how fast you learn and your skill set prior to taking it, you may desire to take this class 2x to help the information sink in.
Once purchased, your money is non-refundable. But with 24 hours notice, you may switch to a different workshop slot and apply the payment towards actions on my site.
I will update you as classes fill (click here to see which classes are available or filled). So if you are interested, please bookmark this post. I will add future times and dates here for color fixing online classes as these classes fill up. All times are posted in Eastern time. Please make sure you know what time that means for you.
Please add a comment in the comment section, which class you are registering for. I will add your name here once I receive your payment. To pay, go to paypal, and click send money. My paypal address is: email@example.com. Please make sure to write “MCP COLOR FIXING GROUP WORKSHOP” and your “specific time slot desired” on your payment.MCP “ALL ABOUT CURVES” Online Group Workshops
