In the past few months I have taken the MCP Blog for a ride. I have tried lots of new and exciting things, from big name contests to having guest bloggers on a huge variety of topics. I have brought you “watch me work” videos, photoshop tips, some free actions and just shared photos.
So, now is your time to let me know what you like most. What do you want to see more of and less of. Please vote in the 3 polls so I can see a snapshot of your thoughts. And also feel free to comment in more detail. While I do not like mean people I do love constructive feedback so please tell me your thoughts so that I may grow the blog. I am excited to hear from everyone. Please do make sure you comment on the blog not direct to me (so I have all thoughts and ideaas in one place).

Jodi–I really like your blog and I love the MCP actions as well as your tutoring.
I had a very basic understanding of photoshop and had taken an 8 week photoshop course and I learned MORE in 2 hours from YOUR one on one tutoring session than I did in that class! It has really brought me a long way in my photography and has made my editing much easier. I use several photoshop actions from many of the top actions sellers and love them all…but I do have to say that your eye doctor is by far the best action I have ever used. I photograph children and the eyes always are bright, sharp and I receive compliments all the time about the “eyes” in my photos. I also LOVE the Take the color Away/BW action. I love how I can customize it and I LOVE the chocolate tint. It’s one of my biggest sellers when my clients print photos! Thank you!
i just discovered your site earlier this month and it has quickly become on of my favs. I simply cant wait to purchase some of your actions. I love love love your interviews with photographers and the Q&A sessions. I would like to see more product reviews. I have spent the past week debating the 50mm 1.4 or 1.2 question and love seeing other pepoles opinions on it. I love finding out about new equipment and if it is worth the investment or if its more of a novelty. and i wouldnt change a thing.

I really love what you’ve been doing with your blog – pretty much everything. I even love your personal photos of your kids because they are adorable and I love your photography. I’m not a big twitter person, though I plan on exploring more with it. So, keep up the good work I say!

Anything you can do to help those just starting out is helpful. Sometimes it’s nice to know what an action is actually doing so if I ever wanted to do just one part, I could do it on my own.
I love seeing the SOOC shots and the step by step process to get the final result. I’ve visited many action sites and see what their actions can do, but it’s nice to know how they go there and if it will work for me.
Freebies are also great. It lets me know 1) If I like your action’s results on my work and 2) If your work is easy enough for me to use. The more free ones I love, the more likely I am to make a purchase.
I like the fact you are doing this and actually getting feedback from you users instead of just assumeing. That is a GREAT step to making improvements where you see the need for improvement.

I LOVE the before and afters, they amaze me.

Jodi, you do this so well. How can you think you need to change anything? Look at the number of comments on this post. Enjoy your success and keep on rolling. Just because I have to, I’ll say that I really enjoy the guests and the before – sooc and after with specific instructions (I love learning something new). You’re already doing both and so no changes necessary! Well you happen to be my “go to” source for all things photographically fabulous!
I love the actions from Totally Rad & Kubota but I seem to love yours more and I think it’s also because you give great examples of before & afters & you explain the steps in how you achieved it. This takes the actions from looking good on yours to looking good on mine too but I don’t always achieve with other actions coz I don’t specifically know how to best apply them.
You also inspire me with your branding & networking .. you seem to be everywhere and that can only mean one thing …. successful!!! I’m just starting out so I’m hoping some of that will rub off on me =)

this is a first time comment, but I’ve followed your blog consistently for several months now. I love SO MUCH of what you do, and will soon be buying some actions. I’m currently trying to figure out the ins and outs of Photoshop without actions, so I know better the sequence of what needs to be done. Hopefully, though, I’ll be needing to edit more pictures than I have time for, and will get around to buying yours. I love your pictures, and am striving for that quality in my own. I would also like some advice on where to get pictures printed – what to look for in a processor. Thank you for all the time you put into this, and the advice for professionals and beginners!
