I don’t have any fancy lenses, but I’d really like to get one! Unfortunatly, with the “great unemployment of 2009″ in my house, we don’t get disgressionary funds to spend on cool camera lenses.

I would LOVE to have a zoom with more range. Currently I have two primes: 50mm 1.8 and 30mm 1.4 as well as the 28-105 (which I really don’t like) and the 24-70L. I love my 24-70 but its SO huge and SO heavy! I would love to be able to zoom in on my two little guys as they play and be a little more unobtrusive when shooting them.

As for what I would do with this lens. Myu husband is paralyzed — and an artist. We have created a nifty artistic relationship, the two of us, in which I act as his hands in the creation of his artistic vision. It was while he was taking a photography class in college when he discovered that as an artistic medium he preferred to stare at photography. I on the other hand discovered that I LOVE photography. Its an artistic medium that in our relationship is all mine. Selfish, I know, but when you share so much creative vision, its nice to have a vision that can be explored in your little world all your own. Shortly after that class I scrimped and saved to buy my Nikon D40x, and though I have only the lens that is on the camera, I have explored every venue and creative manipulation I can possibly think of with this lens. My fingers itch at the idea of possibly having a new lens to play with. Photoshop is great, but there’s nothing like the exhilleration you feel when you look at a photograph that you have taken and know that its perfection is all in the technique and control and manipulation of the lens with which you took that picture to create it.

As for what lenses I currently own. Just the lens that came on my Nikon D40x — an awesome camera, by the way.

I own a Canon 40d with the kit 28-135 lens, as well as a 50mm 1.8. I borrow a zoom lenses from friend, (whom I’m VERY grateful for!), but would love to own one for myself so he can have his back! This lens would go with me on every trip, whether hiking, camping, or travelling (going to France next summer).

i currently have a nifty 50 and a 100mm macro lens. i don’t have a zoom lens and i feel very limited. i borrowed a friends for my vacation and i LOVED it! i would love the 28-300!!!
