Free Black and White Photoshop Actions: Breast Cancer Awareness
Want a FREE Black and White Photoshop Action? You can download this black and white photoshop action with 14 color overlays now!
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month so this Blueprint is dedicated to fighting Breast Cancer. I created the “Take Action on Cancer Awareness” action set when my father-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma a few years ago. He is a survivor now of both Colon Cancer and Lymphoma. My Grandmother, Joan, who I was named after, died in her early 40′s from Breast Cancer. I sadly never got to meet her.
If you have never downloaded this action set that I created in 2007 (which works in PS CS, CS2, CS3 and CS4), please download it HERE or on my website under “try me.” This action creates a rich , adjustable black and white action and includes 14 color overlays each representing a ribbon color to fight a certain type of cancer.
I created this action from the heart and it is free. I just ask two things:
- Please use the sharing buttons at the bottom of the post to spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media. You may blog about this too – just link here for the download (you may not host it on your site).
- Please consider donating time or money either now or in the future to an organization that works to promote awareness and to find cures for cancer.
In this Blueprint below I took straight out of camera images (thank you to those who send these in) and ONLY ran the Take Action on Cancer Awareness action with the Pink Ribbon to fight Breast Cancer layer turned on.

Jodi…that is beautiful. I thought I would share with you and your fans that the trip to San Diego I recently went on (the reason that I wasn’t able to do the template workshop with you) was an American Airlines Event for Breast Cancer Awareness (Susan G. Komin). AA has this event every year in Oct. and my hubbie entertains there for them. It is truly a wonderful event and they raise a ton of $$$ for the cause…celebrities, music, golf, tennis and a lot of the same people come out every year to contribute. The reason I decided to share this is that the women who were there who got up and spoke about their experience with this disease are not going to survive and that is because they didn’t get early detection. They were brave enough to come and share their stories. Their message to everyone was that this is not a disease for “old” people anymore…both of them were in their 20′s and 30′s. One of them has a little girl under the age of 5. It was truly heart wrenching. I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t been affected by this disease…grandmothers, mothers, sisters, cousins, friends. Everyone needs to be “aware” and follow up with any kind of sign no matter what your age. Thank you Jodi for your kind heart and goodness. I love that action and use it all the time. Love the photos…love the pink…let’s pray for a cure. xo

Thank you, Jodi. Not only for the actions, but for your dedication and giving of yourself as well.
