I do have a blog and, as a photographer, I feel it’s an essential part of my business. Most importantly it conveys the style of my photography, but it’s also a little glimpse into my life… and hopefully gives prospective clients a little taste of what THEIR session might be like! I would love to have the customization! She does BEAUTIFUL work! What a fantastic way to clean up my blog and give it that final tweak that would send it over the top! THanks for the opportunity!

I do have a blog. I’m not very good at being consistent with it. I started by business less than a year ago and shotgun putting together a blog. I do have a template I purchased there but it is soooooo difficult to change features and update. I need to be better at directing more traffic to it and working on my SEO. I have been reading a lot of Tofurious’ blog to help in this area and need to apply his principles.

I do not have a blog, nor do I have an official website. I know how much both of these advertisement tools would improve on my business, I just have not had the time or money to move forward. Photography has changed my life. I am a stay-at-home mother and wife and have discovered this art and new passion that has made me more than a mother and wife. When I see my work displayed in homes and get praises for my work, it makes it all worth it. Years from now these pieces will still be priceless, at even a greater worth. why do I need a blog? To help spread the news, to display my work around the world to help others spread share with family and friends, to move towards the next level. What would i do with a blog? Share. That is simply it. I would share my love and passion and that, to me, is enough!

Yes, I have a blog and it is absolutely necessary! As a photographer, I don’t know where my business would be with out it. It is where my clients go to first view sneaks from their session, it is where they go to shows off the images from their session to friends and family…. its free advertising! And my only advertising! I dont have a web site and rely on my blog, and fb to advertise and get the word out. I really want to change the look of my blog as it has been the same since I first set it up and I really would love a new look!

I have had my blog since 2007. It has gone through many changes, however, my skills are limited. I do think my blog is helping my photography business, however, I would like it to have a more portfolio feel along with a blog. I also need major help with SEO. I just don’t get it. Thanks!

Right now my blog is part work, part personal. So I am about to overhaul it do it is strictly about my make-up/photography work. I think I do NOT generate much interest because it is so scattered. I am confident a fresh look would really make the transition stand out. Thank you for your consideration!

I do not have a blog and have finally gotten to a point in my photography journey that I want to share it with the world!! :) I desperately need a blog so that I can get “out there” and start drumming up some business. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

I do not have a blog yet, but would really like one to compliment my website. It seems that a captivating blog would give clients an opportunity to keep up-to-date on current work and maybe see their sessions highlighted there. It would also be a way to inspire clients and seekers to visit and be curious. It seems to
personalize a custom photography business just a little more making it that much more attractive. I would like to a creative blog like the ones Timi creates to make it more fun to look at. I love quotes, as well, so that would be a great place to share them. Thank you for this opportunity to Jodi and Timi.

Hi, I just started a blog and could really use some help. I am a photographer of many things, but I also volunteer at a local animal shelter once a week and do their pictures for their website.
The blog I started is going to be all about the dogs. I am trying to promote my business but I also want to help the shelter with all the beautiful puppies and dogs they have available.

I do have a blog, but am about to redesign it so this is perfect. I do feel that it helps my business. It’s a place I can display my latest work along with some personal info so that a potential client can get to know me better. I think that frequent updates are key also so that they have reason to keep coming back.:)

i do have a blog that i started recently. I am just starting out in my photography business so i really haven’t seen a lot of traffic due to my blog but hopefully as i get more customers and word-of-mouth, i will get more traffic and customers. I think blogs do help drive business b/c it lets your potential customer get to know YOU. And i think YOU are the most important part of your business.

  22. 322

I still feel new to the photography world even though I’ve been working as a photographer for about three years. My little blog is sad and the portraits are so small. I feel a little embarrassed when my clients go check out my favorites. I’ve done lots of research on different photography blogs & websites, but so far the ones that interest me the most are about $1000 or more. Just haven’t had the funds yet! Would LOVE to have a professional and impressive looking blog that would not only serve as a great preview for my clients, but a great way to advertise as well….

    Chantelle says:

I have a blog/photo blog that shows my life. I work overseas in Africa doing development work for the poor and doing pro-bono photography for people on the side. One thing I love to give some of the poor people I work with is a beautiful shot of themselves. I would like to have a nicer blog, more professional looking, that would highlight the photos more. For my work, communication with my funders back home is KEY and a better blog would go a long way to helping that!

  24. 324
    Erica Young says:

I have a blog and only a blog. I can’t afford a website right now so that’s the only way to get my business out there. I need to bring in more traffic, I don’t think many people are looking at it. I also would love to be on top of Google searches and stuff like that. I really need help.

  25. 325

    Kim S says:

Since we do not currently have a website, our blog is probably the best and most rounded way that we present ourselves to our clients and we get a fair amount of traffic. The blog not only features our work, but it also gives a potential client a feel for our personalities, our style and what they can expect from a session with our studio. We use our blog to showcase sneek peaks, final session images with commentary and slideshows/videos. We also use it share news, specials and other valuable information to our clients. The blog is a great personal approach to advertising and presenting yourself to the public. Even though it is our best asset, it is in desperate need of a professional finish. Winning a refresh such as this would probably help us to reach the “next level” we are striving for.

I do have a blog (wordpress) but it is awful. I’ve tried to fix it up myself, but I’m not there. It is not driving in business. I’d like change into more fine art photography and tie it in with etsy. Maybe add a shop for print and card sales. Definitely needs a lot of work and right now I have little time, energy or know-how to do it! Ah, a girl can dream…..

I do have a blog, but it’s not fitting where I want my business to go! I set up my blog last year and it’s been a great asset, but now that I know the clientele I want to book and what my vision is, I definitely need to change it! :)
