Finding the right natural lighting ..still learning LOTS!!!
I need help understanding how getting out of auto mode can make me a better photographer. I take good pictures but I want to take it to the next level. I’ve taken classes before, but have never been able to understand the aperture, and depth of field terms and how to apply them. The classes I’ve been in….its like they are talking in a foreign language…I want to take a class from someone that I can understand and put it to work for me. Please choose me for the online workshop! I will be the best student!
I think the accounting process of my small business is the biggest area that is lacking. I would love help in that area.
Editing skills are lacking….that is one thing that you certainly never stop learning!
I need training in client interaction. I’d like to learn more about getting natural smiles and authentic interactions and reactions.
I feel that I could improve in every aspect of photography. I am trying to get started & wanting as much education as I can get on a small budget!!
My training is lacking in the area of off camera flash. Would love to master that this year:)

I need help with moving toddlers. How to acheive focus and shallow depth of field.

I joined the MCP fan page.
I think the thing I struggle most with is lighting. I shoot natural light so usually end up with flat lighting, I need to work more on observing when the best times to shoot are and what angle the light is coming at my subjects more.
OH Everything. Placing the client in the correct light and which lense and setting is best.

I am lacking in posing people.
I feel I need to work on white balance.
I need more training on posing
The aspect I am lacking is posing subjects. I am great working with people, but coming up with posing ideas is not my strong point.

What is lacking in my photography? Mostly the technical side – for example setting the right exposure, using flash, processing, …

Selling my own work/closing the sale. We are taught how to use a camera, to work with lights as well as natural light and how to pose but there is nothing out there about selling a piece of our own art… a piece of me.
marketing.
I am great at editing in photoshop but I feel that I have a lot to learn about my camera and photography in general.

If I could ask a professional photographer one thing, it would be how I could use light and dark to make beautiful, artsy photos.
I need help with small town marketing and branding…I live in the middle of multiple larger areas…how to reach them all???

How to conduct a photo shoot. Learning to slow down and spend more time talking to the client, setting up the shot, posing, etc. I’m really not even sure what a photo shoot looks like! Some post processing tips would also be great. I feel I need to gain consistancy throughout the whole process. So I guess I’m saying I need a boost from start to finish.
I am lacking in my workflow so I spend way too much time in post production! whether it be from trying to be a perfectionist or not able to narrow down enough so I end up editting 100 poses!

My portfolio. I spent too many PB sessions doing photos that I hate, just to snap the shutter.

My post processing/work flow organization is my biggest obstacle right now. The actual pp is fine it’s keeping all of my images organized and knowing what to keep, what to delete and where to save it all etc. that I’m having the most trouble with.
I feel every area of my photography skills are lacking! I just got my first DSLR a few months ago and am trying to learn as much as I can. I love photography and want to take beautiful pictures for my family and friends. I would love to do a photography business on the side one day! Thanks Jodi for all these great contests! And a spot to your workshop=AWESOME!!:)
