My fledging little company, BigStar Livestock Images specializes in livestock photography and video production. My clients are ranches who are looking for innovative ways to market their cattle and livestock shows who hire me to cover the show. I just graduated college and decided to make a leap of faith and put my time (and savings) into BigStar to grow the company that just expanded into portraits. It seems like I’m learning everything the hard way (my degree was in animal science; I’m a self-taught photog) and it sounds like this great read would have some valuable advice and insight into managing a successful photography business.

I feel that I would greatly benefit from the assistance of the e-book. I recently inheretid a family photography business that was established in 1962 and in it’s hay day was the “it” studio. In the past decade as my Uncle reached his 90′s and eventually passed the studio became defunked. It is my mission to resurect a family tradition 4 generations and 50 years in the making. I’m needing all the help I can get! I think I’m closer to nailing down all the details, but always wonder if I’m on the right track.
While I’ve been in business for 2 years, I feel like I still have a lot to learn! At this point I have learned from my mistakes and I am now ready to learn from someone elses trials and triumphs. Another person’s point of view does wonders to boost creativity and motivation.

I would absolutely love to win this book. Our photography business began in 2008, shortly after the death of my mother and adoption of our 4th child. We then began a rather abrupt move due to my husband’s job and our nation’s waning economy. With all of life’s curves that, for a while seemed aimed right at us, I feel I could certainly stand to improve my technical approach, post-processing array, and business approach.
