Wow! What a response we’ve received!? And it was a short week, you all were only allowed half of the amount of time that you will have each week from here on out and we’ve seen so many amazing shots. We already have over 1,300 members of our Flickr group and we had more that 600 photos shared. We are beyond excited about this project and so happy that so many of you have jumped on board with our group. We are certain that in the process we will all grow and be inspired by each other’s take on the themes that have been selected, or by your random photo that you felt like sharing for that particular week. We can’t wait to see what you all upload next week when you have an entire week to think about and plan out your photos! See the bottom of this post for an introduction to Next Week’s theme!
A few reminders for next week: if you are featured in the weeks to come, and would like for people to visit see more of your work, leave your website or blog address in your tags or title of your photo. Also, please be sure that the photo is taken within the week. We don’t want old photos, as gorgeous as they are, we want to see your current work please!

Next week’s suggested theme
is “Illustrate a Song.” This is a very broad theme, but that’s the idea. Isn’t it? You can pick any photo and find some sort of song that would go along with it’s theme. So, this week, when you upload, please title your photo with the name of the song that it is illustrating. If that’s too much work, please still participate. We’ve loving seeing such a variety this past week.
Here is a Project 52 Team Leader’s Inspirational Photo to get your creative juices going for this week. This photo is titled “Beat it,” named after the Michael Jackson classic. So, go and be creative. We can’t wait to see what you all come up with! Be sure to upload your photo by next Friday night and be sure that it is a photo that has been taken within the week. No old photos… isn’t this about growing afterall?

Project 52 Team Leaders
A big thank you to all of the Project 52 Team leaders that will help to keep this project going. They will be monitoring flickr, blogging and choosing featured photos each week. A special thank you to Justin Bamberg for our new Project 52 logo and blog buttons (still on their way). Here’s a bit about each of us so that you can get to know us.

Hi I’m Rebecca Spencer from England and I’m the passionate hobbyist of the group. I’ve always been the one with a camera & in summer 2010 decided to take my photography up a gear by switching to manual. My blog is where I document my attempts at taking better photos and share any tips I learn along the way. Loves: Shooting photos of my wiggly pre-schooler Theo, Nikon, British humour and long, lazy summer days.
I’m Jen Bounds {Website}, a Photographer from Southwest Michigan.
