Edit an Engagement Session in a Few Quick Clicks in Photoshop

Professional wedding photographers are busy and not only have lots of photography do to, but also editing. In addition to shooting the wedding, most offer engagement sessions. For many photographers this is an creative outlet and an opportunity to bond with the couple. Much like senior photography, engagement shoots have changed dramatically in the last decade.  While some photographers still offer the traditional head shots against greenery, most are stretching their creativity with urban shoots, country settings, or even the more styled sessions.  These types of photo shoots allow the couples to really have fun!

Rick O Photography submitted a number of Blueprints, using the MCP Fusion Photoshop action set, for you to see some photo edits from his recent engagement session. I must start by saying the before images are AMAZING!  The after images just give a different look to the photos – from urban, cross-processed, to vintage.  Depending on your style, you may prefer the before since they are so vibrant and well-exposed, which is totally understandable.  His work speaks for itself straight out of the camera.  We should all aim for the best exposure, lighting and composition in camera as Rick does.

The beauty of his edits is that he could batch process an entire session, as shown in this video below, using Color Fusion Mix and Match or B&W Fusion Mix and Match.

Great pics. Love the urban setting. I really love seeing the edits other photogs do using the Fusion set. I use the Fusion set alot, but don’t take advantage of the One Click Color option enough! This little article will help me to remember to try that! Love the batch tutorial as well. Thank you!

A million thanks for showing us how to do this batch processing, something I should have tried a long time ago as a time saver. It’s especially helpful to see how to do it with your Color Fusion Mix and Match action that I recently purchased and am having fun using. Your blog has given me great tips countless times!! Blessings on you!
