A Giveaway + Tips for Making the Most of Your Templates

Tip #1 Change the Color
It’s amazing how a quick little color change can affect the entire look and feel of a design. Our latest Black and White Holiday set features bold design in modern, sophisticated black and white. By simply changing the colors, the holiday set may be completely re-purposed for soft and lovely newborn announcements. When we design cards for our photography clients, we often determine the colors by using the color picker to select colors from within the images. We find that both the designs and the images look best if they coordinate well. Some images demand a softer feel, while other style require a brighter palette. Of course, it’s difficult to go wrong with timeless black and white!

Here we took Card 1 and softened the colors to make a sweet newborn announcement.
Tip #2 Move and Remove Layers
Our template are fully layered PSD files. This allows you to move and remove layers to your heart’s content. Twist a photo opening from vertical to horizontal. Duplicate a photo opening. Move the photo openings to a completely different sized card. Move a design element to a different card. Expand the lifespan of your templates by making simple modifications to the layers and photo openings.

Tip #3 Re-purpose Your Templates
If you are a crafty sort of person or if you simply enjoy playing around with your templates, the possibilities are truly endless. Use design elements and photo openings for so many purposes:
- marketing items
- gift tags
- thank you cards
- wrapping embellishments
- stickers
- mini albums
- ornaments
- home accents
- tee shirt printing
- party favor embellishment
- blog embellishment
