Free Photoshop Video Tutorial: Watch Me Work with Fusion

I miss taking photos of my kids.  My twins are nine, and lately, posing for a few photos is the last thing on their minds.  So when Jenna suggested that we go do a photo shoot, I was so excited! We pulled out a few hats and scarves, along with a few other trinkets, and went to a nearby park.  The image below is shot with my Canon 5D MKII and 70-200 2.8 IS II lens.  I love this lens!

The conditions, partly sunny, which meant when the sun went behind the clouds, it was time to click the shutter for a beautiful, diffused lighting.  No flash or reflector needed.

There were so many potential ways to edit this photo.  I had a hard time deciding, but I went for a crisp, bright, lightly color popped look.  The step-by-step Blueprint of this edit is below, along with a video tutorial so you can Watch Me Work on it. Two Photoshop action sets were used: MCP Fusion and the Eye Doctor.

Below is the video tutorial showing the process, and even my camera settings and what went on in my head.  Hope this helps some of you see how I process.  Enjoy! If you have trouble viewing the video, click here.

Love this tutorial. I use Dark Magic Marker all the time. The Fusion Set is awesome. I haven’t used the Dodge Ball too much. Now I know what to do with it.

Jodi..That was wonderful to see your perspective on what route you took to edit that photo. Keep them coming as I love different ways to use your actions. I tend to get in a rut once in a while and that was really nice to one way to use more of your features.
