Most of the Blueprints and Before and After edits on the MCP Blog are portraits and weddings. While our audience is mostly children’s and wedding photographers, it is fun to step outside the box every once in a while too. Today’s photo was taken by the 17 year old, Seth Bingham. I absolutely LOVE the details in this photo and how he made it come to life. He magically transformed this interior design style photo using a combination of Topaz plugins and MCP Photoshop actions.
For this edit, Seth started by using the Topaz Labs Photoshop Plugin, Spicify. This pulls out the most amazing details from the image. It almost looks like HDR (high dynamic range). I just love this!
The next version – Seth did a monochrome edit with the Free Black and White Photoshop action – Take Action on Cancer Awareness. While I do love this too, my heart goes to the color version. The black and white conversion is definitely classic.

Thank you so much for doing this post! As a graduate with a degree in ID and a passion for photography, I am glad to know I can still use my knowledge in PS and my eye for design to create stunning images! Interiors photography is an amazing field to venture into!
Topaz Details is a great add-on, too. I definitely love what it does for any type of interior/architecture photo. I don’t use it a lot, but it certainly has it’s place in my toolbox. Seth did a beautiful job; I love his color edit!
I have Topaz adjust and absolutely love it! Great for many photos, depending on what you are trying to get out of it. 🙂
Oh my gosh this is so gorgeous. I would love to do more interior decorating shots and I am in awe of what a couple of actions can do! Thanks for this great post.
17 years old? AMAZING!!!
You should shoot my living room, I might like the furniture and decorations more!
