Week 33 Recap + Week 34 Launch – Project 52

With 2011 racing along at such a pace I know I welcomed this weeks Project 52 theme of “Slow Down and Look Back” and judging from the creative entries to our MCP P52 Flickr group so did you.  I mean how did it get to be Week 33 already? Before you know it there will be Christmas decorations in the shops again!

I love how our MCP P52 participants take our theme suggestion and turn into something meaningful to them.  We have the literal interpretation right through to poignant introspective versions.  Despite this variety the one thing that remains true every week is how inspired I am by the photos in our group pool.  I suppose I am going to have to start thinking soon of ways I can get my photo inspiration fix once this project ends, but not just yet as I want to just enjoy our last 19 weeks together.

Enough of my ramblings and onto the reason you read this blog every Saturday – who did we choose for our top ten featured photographs this week?

And so onto Week 34 where this time the theme is “Connections”

We had a couple of requests for a single word theme and so we hope you approve.

To launch the new theme here is my take on Connections; a simple portrait capturing the close bond between a mother and her 4 year old son, yes that’s me and Theo.  My son & I have another connection which is his budding interest in photography and this photo was actually taken by Theo – look closely in his hand and you can just see the remote control!

I hope this week’s theme “Connections” will inspire you; the Week 34 theme starts now and runs until Friday 26th August.  See you over on Flickr.

This week’s blog post was brought to you by Rebecca Spencer {blog}   Rebecca is a passionate hobbyist who plans to leave the business side of photography to the professionals and just enjoy being a Mum with a camera, albeit a very good camera that she’s learning to use quite well! Why not pop over to her blog where she writes about her love for photography and say hello?
