October signals the middle of the Fall season (in most parts of the world) and as we head towards the shortest day of the year (the Winter Solstice in December) the days will continue to grow shorter, casting long shadows. Shadow and silhouette photos evoke a sense of mystery and emotion because it leaves part of the image up to the imagination. This week’s challenge was to capture a shadow or silhouette photo. Here are a few of the Project MCP team’s favorites:

Thanks to everyone who submitted to the Project MCP Flickr group for this week’s challenge! All of the photos were stunning and we really enjoyed viewing them.
As the Fall sets in and the temperatures begin to drop, you will want to make sure to snap a photo for the October, Challenge #2 – capture a photo depicting the word “cozy”. I don’t know about you, but I am picturing sweaters and cuddling up on the couch with a good book. We cannot wait to see what your idea of cozy is.
Don’t forget to grab a banner below and spread the word about Project MCP. We still have a couple of months left in this year. Let’s keep those shutters clicking!
