HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Thank you for your interest, over the past two years, in Project 52 and Project MCP.

For 2013, we have decided to make the process of sharing work more simple. Rather than the complex structure of blog posts and features, we are moving things to our MCP Facebook Group called SHOOT ME. When you join the group, you’ll be notified (assuming you keep your settings on) of photography and edit challenges. You can share your results and get instant feedback and critique from photographers worldwide.

The best part about this community of MCP fans is that you can ask photo-related and editing questions whenever you like and get advice fast.

Join now. It’s fun – it’s free – and it will help you improve your photography, editing, critiquing, and even teaching skills. All levels, from brand new to highly experienced photographers are welcome to become a part of this community.

My year with MCP P52 group in 2011 was by far my most challenging and most rewarding in terms of improving my photography. I was SO looking forward to joining the group in 2013 – but … I don’t do Facebook.sigh … not the best start to the year.Heidi

Heidi, I wish there was another way, but doing a formal challenge each week has become … too much of a challenge. It was definitely fun, but we need a way to make things more manageable. We hope you will consider joining facebook, even if only for this. The group is “CLOSED” so the posts do not go out to anyone other than group members. Does that help? Thanks again.Jodi

I’m sorry to hear that. I am not on facebook either but I have very much enjoyed this year’s challenges. It has really helped me and I’m still learning to use the actions so I know your website is available. Thank you so much, Jodi! I have really appreciated the inspiration!LLMphotos

Sorry Laurie. I wish we had more time to be able to do it all. Before we had many saying they are not on flickr. It is hard to win. Flickr’s TOS makes it hard to do anything other than upload images. So we had it part on the blog and part on flickr. It also became time consuming doing blog posts every single week. Moving it to a group allows us to do challenges as they make sense. They are going to be more skill based versus theme based to help aid in growth. And photographers are there to give immediate CC and advice. Flickr is not nearly as interactive. If you want, you could always make an account on Facebook, but keep it without any friends and just use it for the purposes of the group… Just a thought. Jodi
