1. Well-made actions but take some finesse Review by KW

   I am a huge MCP Actions fan. I have purchased several sets (5 or 6) and love them all. That said, this set takes a little more time to use correctly and get good results. These are not one-click type actions, but rather very complicated with many steps (and user input) needed. Don't get me wrong - this is a good thing because it's probably impossible to truly get that "magazine look" without a lot of complex functions going on. That said, it's not the most practical for me to use when I'm editing a larger batch of files (I prefer the Quickie collection for that). For evening out skintones, I use and recommend the Magic Skin action set. Also note that this set only has 2 actions, but as I alluded to, they are very in-depth. I have used these on many photos, and they don't always work the best on every photo. But if you have a properly exposed portrait shot and are willing to tweak the layers a little, you can get a really nice finished product. (Posted on 4/22/11)

   I was hesitant to spend more money on yet another set of actions until an online buddy told me how much she used and enjoyed MCP Actions.
   
   I only use MCP Actions now…on EVERY photo. I have the Ultimate Portrait Package that contains Complete Workflow, Eye Doctor & Dentist and Magic Skin along with a stand alone action Urban Cover Model. The video tutorial that Jodi provides with each action is outstanding! I love love love MCP Actions and will only use/buy these actions in the future.
